Amelia's Story
Amelia's Mum, Coralee, kindly shared her thoughts on Amelia's experience with the Leckey PAL Seat - a colourful, comfortable seating system for children aged 1-12 years.
The PAL Seat is designed to provide improved stability to children, which helps reduce fatigue and allows the child longer periods of concentration and fine motor activity.
What Allied Medical Product are you using and how long have you had it in your life?
The PAL seat. We have had it for under a month.
What is the difference that it makes in Amelia's daily life? Is there anything particularly special that this product helps Amelia to do?
It's the best seat! It helps Amelia to do daily activities such as supporting her to eat her food, play with toys, or coloring in. This chair supports her to use her right arm to its full potential, it supports her to be like a normal child without a disability. We would be lost without this chair!
Would you recommend this product and why?
Definitely! Especially for children with deficits on the left side or right side or both. It supports the whole body so that children can participate in everyday activities that people without disabilities can easily do. I believe if we did not have the support from this amazing chair, Amelia may not be able to achieve the goals she has today!
